NYS Health IT Projects

The New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) is a national leader in supporting health IT and has identified it as a key part of its health reform agenda. In March 2008 NYS DOH awarded $105 million in funding for 19 health IT projects, through the Health Care Efficiency and Affordability Law for New Yorkers (HEAL NY) Health IT Grant Program, Phase 5. This is on top of the $52.9 million in funding it awarded to 26 health IT projects as part of Phase 1 in 2006.
