What We Do

Vendor Relations

The New York eHealth Collaborative supports partner companies with credible EHR technology that has been successfully installed in NYS.  These companies are committed to ensuring provider attainment of Meaningful Use, have technology that enables participation in recognition programs, and can connect to the statewide health information exchange networks for their clients. NYeC is adopting a tiered structure that describes the variety of strategic relationships we have with the vendor community. We understand that vendors have specific strategies to support their clients. NYeC hopes to support those activities as they exist with little disruption.

All NYeC vendor partners are committed to maintaining Meaningful Use certification as established by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC), complying with all New York State policies governing the use of health technology, and connecting practices to the statewide health information networks.

Preferred Vendors

This is our highest level of partnership with EHR vendors. This select group has undergone a significant qualification and selection process, and has demonstrated commitment to New York’s health IT mission. Additionally, the vendors have agreed to:

- Discounts and favorable pricing to NYeC practices
- Standardization terms and conditions for EHR purchases
- Provide training and support to NYeC staff and consultants working with practices in the field

Accredited Vendors

Accredited vendor partners also participated in a selection process and all provide reputable EHR technology to NYS providers. These products are credentialed and will meet the needs of providers as the healthcare delivery landscape embraces technology. Additionally, the vendors have agreed to:

-Discounts to NYeC practices (where available)
-Provide training and support to NYeC staff and consultants working with practices in the field

Meaningful Use Partners

This is our most basic level of partnership with EHR vendors. These products have passed federal certification to be a Meaningful Use capable product, and the companies that market these products have made a commitment to the providers of New York and stand ready to help the Regional Extension Center help providers achieve Meaningful Use. The below list includes partners who have entered into agreement with the REC at this time:

These partners provide hardware procurement, network design, security assessments, deployment, maintenance, and other IT services.
