New York eHealth Collaborative and Partnership Fund for NYC Announce Call for Applications for New York Digital Health Accelerator 2015 Class

The New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) and the Partnership Fund for New York City (Partnership Fund) launched its third annual call for applications for the New York Digital Health Accelerator (NYDHA), a five-month program for early- and growth-stage companies that’s making New York a hub for the emerging digital health technology industry.

New York Digital Health Accelerator Announces Top Pick Companies for 2014

New York is at the forefront of the rapidly growing field of health information technology, thanks to a public-private partnership sponsored by the State of New York, the nonprofit New York e-Health Collaborative (NYeC), and the Partnership Fund for New York City, the investment arm of the city’s leading business organization. Today, this partnership announced the list of seven healthcare startups selected to participate in their 2014 New York Digital Health Accelerator (NYDHA).

Final State Budget Funds New York’s Electronic Health Records System

Today, the New York State Legislature voted to support New York’s electronic health records system – known as the Statewide Health Information Network of New York (the SHIN-NY). The final New York State Fiscal Year 2014-15 Budget includes $55M in State funding for the SHIN-NY, which will go towards building an innovative, public network in New York designed to give doctors and patients instant access to their complete health records, anywhere and anytime. New York has been at the forefront of health innovation and will now be the first large state in the country to build a public network of interconnected electronic health records of this kind.
